Grancevola

is a large vessel designed to deal with large volumes of unwanted marine flora through an effective system of harvesting, transporting and dumping weeds.  A revolving tape, located on the bridge of the Grancevola, is used for the transporting and dumping of weeds onshore.  It is driven by a propeller system at the stern.  Although built in a single steel block, it is possible to knock down into 3 pieces to facilitate transportation and maintenance.  Normal working environments are inland waters such as lakes, ponds, swamps, canals and lagoons as well as large rivers.  It was built specifically to harvest algae masses in the waterways.

is a multi-purpose boat capable of debris collection, water oxygenation, reef cleaning and fire-fighting.  The prow is shaped like an open jaw and, moving at a speed of 2 knots, it collects everything floating through a special screw pump which also allows the collection operation to continue even if the boat is immobile.  The garbage is automatically dumped into a large movable container for subsequent disposal.  In dealing with oil spills, the polluted water is sucked into a hydrocarbon processor which works under vacuum capable of separating water and oil with an accuracy of 98%.  The separated oil is then transferred to storage containers by a gear pump.  The cycle allows the collection of 15 cubic metres per hour.  As for water oxygenation, this is used specifically for treatment of hydrocarbon pollution, foam and surface suspension of minute particles with the application of Venturi-effect grid technology which pushes a water-air mix into the treated water.  Oxygenation is particularly efficient in stagnant waters and areas subject to tropism.   The vessel is also equipped with a powerful water canon used in cleaning operations involving beaches, docks or reef areas, to effectively remove oil residue, incrustations and other organic matter.

Pelican

is an ecological multipurpose boat similar to the Pelican but it can operate further out in the open sea, up to 20 miles from the coast.  The particular shape of the hull allows it to operate in adverse weather conditions.  Able to move at high speed, the Dolphin can reach operation areas, such as oil spill sites, very quickly, thereby reducing the expansion of oil on the water surface.  It is equipped with an efficient floating booms disclosing system capable of laying the floating booms in large areas in a matter of minutes.  The Dolphin operates with its open jaws to collect macro-pollutants and oil which are then flown into a separator that works with a vacuum system driven by an auxiliary engine.  It has a crane on the bow deck to collect large floating wastes.  All operations can be controlled from the pilot cabin.

is a multi-purpose vessel designed and built by an experienced technical team with longstanding expertise in providing solutions to ecological challenges.  It was specifically built to combat oil spills under the strict supervision of the Italian Naval Register.  It is a high-speed boat which can be rapidly deployed to the site of an emergency and capable of performing well under the most difficult of weather conditions in harbours, on coastlines and at open sea.  It combats pollution at sea by isolating the polluted area with inflatable booms in order to recover hydrocarbon spills, collecting and storing solid floating and semi-submerged waste and debris, fighting fire, cleaning rocks and reefs, oxygenating water, monitoring and performing analyses of water samples in real time.  The boat has sufficient provision on deck to install auxiliary equipment, a two-motor propulsion system, and a spacious cabin with sleeping quarters for crew members.  It can provide anti-pollution services both close to shore and in port areas as effectively and efficiently as if in open waters.  Its size, speed and increased scope of capacity enable it to function equally well when collecting water samples for analysis or cleaning harbours and coastal areas or when dealing with emergencies even in high seas.

Mandolino

is a boat designed for the collection, storage and disposal of macro-pollutants from the sea in port areas, canals, bays and along the coast—specifically for effective operation in narrow areas and shallow waters.  This type of boat is not best suited for operation in open waters and is certified for navigation within three miles from the coast and in internal water areas.  The catamaran hull is built entirely in reinforced fibreglass with stainless steel accessories and collection equipment on deck.  The two hulls of the catamaran are connected at deck level with a rigid structure.  Each hull is subdivided by watertight bulkheads, which form four individual watertight compartments to ensure that the boat remains afloat even in case of leakage.  The catamaran’s hull conformation directs the water flow towards the centre of the boat where two propellers, situated behind the collection basket, create a highly efficient suction flow.  The macro-pollutants are conveyed in a hydraulic-driven collection basket which discharges into the storage container on deck for subsequent disposal.  The outboard engine is secured on a reinforced plate, centrally positioned on the stem.  The pilot’s bridge is at the centre of the boat and well protected by a canvas cover.  Equipment for the collection of macro-pollutants is positioned behind the storage basket.  The boat is driven by an outboard diesel engine with 4-stroke, direct injection, seawater cooling system and forced lubrication.  The outboard propelling system is operated directly from the pilot’s bridge.  It has a safety feature to allow effectively safe operations even in the presence of swimmers, i.e. a protective cage which covers the three-bladed screw.  The hydraulic plant, powered by the outboard engine, supplies power to the boat’s equipment.  An automatic recharging battery feeds the electric starter at 12Vcc.

is also designed to eradicate unwanted marine flora by harvesting, transporting and dumping the weeds, in the same way as the Oceana, although its containment size is smaller and more suited to water sources that do not cover such a large area, such as lakes, ponds, swamps, canals and small rivers.  The boat is fitted with conveyor belts to transport and unload the harvested weeds.  It was designed and built by a technical team with expertise in ecological solutions following long experience in working with public sector agencies directly responsible for collecting unwanted marine plant life.  Propulsion is by paddle wheels on either side of the boat, providing manoeuvrability in narrow areas and enabling the vessel to move through floating weed masses effectively.  A blade system at the bow can also cut through plants with stem attached to mud or sludge such as screwpine or lotus.  This boat is built in a steel block which can be knocked down to facilitate transport and maintenance.
